HISTORY
Transportex was started by Oscar Helde in 1976 as an agent for conveyors and storage system for hanging garments.
Shortly Transportex became market leader in Scandinavia. In the early 1980´s manufacturing of components for the Mono Rail System was started in Sweden. This, together with our own patented accumulating overhead conveyor “Power and Free”, strengthened Transportex´ position even further in Scandinavia.
In 1993 Transportex was 100% Swedish and totally independent of the former partners, and nearly all products were manufactured under our own management to very competitive prices. Thanks to this Transportex even became a supplier for former competitors and former partners in several European countries.
The dominating product at this time was the Trolley system and storage system for hanging goods.
As a complement to our Trolley system a fully automatic product for single handing was developed in 2002. The Single system is an optimal solution for sorting installations with high demands for capacity.
Since September 2002 Transportex is the general agent at the Swedish market for a new and flexible Italian shelving system. The shelving system is galvanized and extremely light and stable. A lot of appliances make it suitable for all kinds of businesses; from the little storage to the big central warehouse. We sell this Shelving system through our resellers.
Since 2002 Martin Norlin is Managing Director and the main owner of the company.
In 2010 Transportex started selling, customer optimizing and projecting a new product area; The EASY - Shopsystems, a complete shop fitting range.
Since 1991 Transportex´ headoffice is located in Kungsbacka, about 20 km South of Gothenburg. The company has its main market area in Europe. Customer contact and service are handled by our representantives in several different European countries.
